Train tomatoes, cucumbers, gourds, beans and other climbers up a stake, string or trellis net without tying knots. How to use
- Start when plants are 20-30 cm tall.

- Close the clip loosely around the stem and the support.
- Add a clip every 20-30 cm as the plant grows.
Add a clip every 20-30 cm as it grows
Space clips every 20-30 cm up the stake as the plant grows, so the stem stays upright through flowering and fruiting.

Works with stakes, netting or branches
The same clip holds a stem to a bamboo stake, a vegetable plant’s main stem, or trellis netting – one clip style for every kind of support.
Tip: Training tomatoes or cucumbers in our grow bags? These clips pair well with a stake pushed into the bag to keep the plant upright as it fruits.
FAQs
What is a plant support clip used for?
It clips a plant stem to a stake, string or trellis net so the plant grows upright, without tying knots – used on tomato, cucumber, capsicum and other climbing or vining plants.
Are these different from wall-mounted plant clips?
Yes. These are garden support clips that clamp a plant stem to a stake, string or trellis outdoors – they are not the self-adhesive clips used to stick indoor climbers like money plant to a wall. If you need a wall-mount clip for an indoor vine, this isn’t it.
Will these damage or cut into plant stems?
No – the clip closes loosely around the stem and its support, leaving room for the stem to thicken as the plant grows.
Can I reuse them next season?
Yes – open the clip, remove it from the old stake or string, and reuse it the next season.
Are these the same as tomato trellis clips?
Yes – these work as tomato support clips or tomato trellis clips, and the same clip also holds cucumber, capsicum and other climbing plants to a stake, string or trellis net.
What plants can I use these on besides tomatoes?
Cucumber, capsicum, gourds, melons, beans and other flowering climbers – anything trained up a stake, string or trellis.
